Lana graduated from the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy. On top of her education as an osteopathic manual practitioner, Lana also holds a diploma in practical nursing and had worked as a nurse at Hamilton Health Sciences Hospitals. Her experience as a nurse helped her to gain valuable skills and understanding of medical patients. With this combined education. It gives Lana a greater understanding of complex medical conditions and how to apply this knowledge to her osteopathic practice to treat a person as a whole being.
Understanding human anatomy and physiology helps Lana to provide personalized treatment for every patient. Treatment outcome aims to restore movement and alignment within the body, reduce symptoms, improve the overall quality of life, speed the healing of the body’s normal function and reduce the impact of illness in everyday life.
Lana discovered osteopathy due to her own health issues. After experiencing significant change and healing, she knew that this was something she wanted to pursue. Lana became fascinated with osteopathy because it focuses on searching and fixing the root cause of the problems that the body is faced with, rather than just focusing on the symptoms. She has always been motivated to improve the quality of her patients’ lives. Which makes a career in Osteopathy both satisfying and rewarding. She looks forward to working with her clients and helping them to achieve optimal health and functioning in their daily activities.
